LOTTERY PROCESS FAQs

The Parkview Parent Teacher Organization is committed to providing high-quality after school enrichment programs to Parkview families.

ENRICHMENT Sessions

The Parkview PTO offers three sessions of After School Enrichment. The dates of each session will vary from year to year.

  • Fall (October to December)

  • Winter (Late January to April)

  • Spring (April to June)

See below for important policies and information related to PTO Sponsored Enrichment.

If you have additional questions about our family policies and expectations, please email enrichment@parkviewpto.org

Lottery + Registration FAQs

The PTO fills enrichment seats using a lottery process. Students may enter lotteries via the 6crickets Registration portal for as many classes that interest them, provided they meet the grade level requirement. See below for additional lottery details and answers to FAQs.

6Crickets Registration Portal help + FAQs

The PTO uses 6crickets to coordinate the lottery and registration process for Free Clubs and Paid Classes. See below for a few helpful articles from the 6crickets Help Desk:

If you have issues checking out on the 6crickets platform, please contact their customer service team for assistance. If you have any additional questions about the lottery process, please email enrichment@parkviewpto.org.

Lottery for FREE, Parkview and PTO SPONSORED Clubs

Any FREE clubs listed on the After School Enrichment Calendar are selected via the Club Lottery. FREE clubs are facilitated by either (1) a Parkview Staff member (in blue on the calendar) or (2) volunteer Parkview PTO members (in red on the calendar). Students may enter the lottery via the 6crickets Registration portal for as many clubs that interest them, provided they meet the grade level requirement. However, in order to provide seats to as many students as possible, please understand that students can only win a spot in a single club via the Club Lottery. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN PLACED IN A FREE CLUB DURING THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR.

LotterIES for PAID, PTO Sponsored Classes

Any paid classes listed on the After School Enrichment Calendar are selected via individual class lotteries. Paid classes are facilitated by a third party vendor contracted by the PTO. Students may enter lotteries via the 6crickets Registration portal for as many paid classes that interest them, provided they meet the grade level requirement. The PTO will hold a separate lottery for each class and assign seats accordingly. Your student may win spots and enroll in multiple classes through the PTO Sponsored Lottery.

Notification OF Lottery Results

If your student wins a seat(s), you will receive an email from the PTO via 6crickets inviting you to register your student. The email will include a unique link to facilitate the checkout process. Alternatively, login to your 6crickets account and view your won seats by clicking on the cart in the top right hand corner. Your student’s enrollment is not secured until you complete the registration. You must register before the deadline provided in the email (and posted to the Enrichment Calendar, the “Lottery Winner Registration Deadline”) - after that time, your invitation to join the class will be cancelled.

Remember, while your student can only win a single spot in a Free Club, they can also win one or more spots in a paid offering. If you receive multiple registration invitations, you can enroll your student in each offering. If your student chooses not to enroll in one or more of their seats, please make sure to remove your student from the lottery so we can offer the seat to the next student on the list. You can decline a seat by logging into your account, opening your cart in the top left corner, and clicking the “x” next to the class.

Once all winners have been notified via 6crickets, the PTO will send an email to all lottery participants advising that winners have been announced. You will not receive a separate notification that your student did not win a spot in a particular offering; if you did not receive an invitation to enroll, you should assume your student did not win a seat in the related lottery. You can also see any classes where you are still on the waitlist (i.e., you did not win a spot) by logging into your 6crickets account, clicking on the cart in the top right hand corner, then the waitlist tab at the top of the screen.

Registration invitations will come from no-reply@accounts.6crickets.com, and will include the text “Wait is over: you can now register for [CLASS NAME]” in the subject line.

SCHOLARSHIPS

If your student needs a scholarship, please note it on 6crickets when you enter the lottery. The PTO has limited fund available each session for scholarships. Students are eligible to receive up to one (1) PTO scholarship for a paid offering each school year. Students are also free to apply for scholarships directly with the provider, when available.

OPEN REGISTRATION period

If any seats remain open after the Lottery Winner Registration Deadline, registration will open to all on a first come, first served basis. See the Enrichment Calendar for the Open Registration Date and Time. Once the Lottery Winner Registration deadline has passed, the PTO will send an Open Registration reminder email via 6crickets to lottery participants for each offering with details about availability. Please understand that there will be a gap between the Lottery Winner Registration Deadline and Open Registration to allow the PTO to clean up rosters and notify families of availability.

The Open Registration reminder will come from no-reply@accounts.6crickets.com.
